My name is Maria Saavedra. I have two brothers and one sister. I was born in California but have lived in North Carolina most of my life. I don’t think there is anywhere else I’d rather live. My mother is from Mexico and my father from Honduras. We are very family oriented. I grew up having cookouts every weekend, and going on family beach trips multiple times a year. Even though most of my siblings and I are married and with kids, we still get together often and still go on those beach trips. There is nothing like making family memories. I appreciate them dearly.
My husband and I have been married since 2016 and we have two beautiful children: Warren and Emilia. They are my pride and joy. We enjoy going camping, hiking and fishing, pretty much anything that has to do with the outdoors!
I am lead teacher of the preparation room. I really enjoy working with this age group! There is never a dull moment when you are around these little ones. My dream is to continue working with infants and toddlers. Making a positive impact in their lives is always a blessing. I came to know about the Montessori method in 2010. I instantly fall in love with it! I’m currently finishing my Infant and Toddler Montessori training and am thrilled to be able to teach children in a way that makes so much sense. It is an honor to work with all of our children.
