Hi! My name is Kayleigh Petty. I am a teachers assistant in the Primary Classroom. I am currently working towards my associates degree in Early Childhood Education at ACC. After I complete my associates degree, I plan on transferring to a university and pursuing my bachelors degree in Education.
I am very fortunate to have grown up in a large family. I am the oldest out of six children, which has given me ample opportunities to teach and lead. When I’m not spending time with my family and friends, you can usually find me curled up on my couch reading a book or crocheting a fun new project. I also love to travel. I have a goal to make it to as many states as I can before I graduate college. I only have 33 more states to go!
I am very thankful that I am apart of the Providence family. I have read about the Montessori method in some of my textbooks, and I absolutely loved the idea that the children get to have a hands on approach to their learning. Being a part of the Providence family has given me the opportunity to learn and see the Montessori method in action and not just in theory. I have seen first hand how children get to be problem-solvers and leaders at such a young age. I have already learned so much, and can’t wait to keep learning more.
