Our community is growing and we are looking for the right kind of people to join our team of teachers. Our teachers really get to make a difference in the lives of children. They work hard and they love what they do. If that sounds like your kind of place then keep reading….
Full-time or Part -time position available. We are in search of a Middle School Teacher for our growing program and a Montessori Teacher or Assistant with a passion for math to work with our Elementary classrooms. We also always need Part- Time Substitute Teachers which is a great way to get connected to our amazing community.
Our small school is expanding our programming and seeking people who are passionate about helping children and eager to learn themselves. Our next major positions to fill is for a Guide to Advise and teach, who understands thatch Middle School years are special. We also seek a flexible position for someone passionate about hands-on math to work in our Elementary class. An ideal candidate will be familiar with Montessori education or be eager and willing to put the work in to learn more. We are biased — but we are pretty sure we are the best place to work – EVER! And we really believe that we are changing the world (you will see what we mean when you check out our mission statement.) The job is not all roses — there is some good news and there is some bad news.
The Negatives:
- You won’t get rich as an educator. The pay is $15 to $20/hour, depending on your educational level, and if you have training and experience.
- If you’re not familiar with Montessori there is a big learning curve. It is the most amazing journey you will have, but it will take dedication and hard work.
All The Good Stuff:
- The people here are sooooooo nice. Our families are super sweet and the teachers love what they do. It’s our happy place.
- Montessori is the BEST teaching method around. Our teacher gets to work directly with a seasoned staff who collectively have been at Providence for over 50 years! Our teachers LOVE their kids and teaching.
- The classrooms are mixed ages, 18 months to 3 yrs, 3 to 6 years old, 6 to 12 , and 12 to 18 yrs old, so the kids really know their stuff and know the expectations of the class. Our little ones also give great hugs!
- We aren’t big on stress. So, while we will expect you to work efficiently and keep kids safe, we focus on open communication and learning by taking initiative and trying new things.
- The schedule is nice – no working nights or weekends. We try to have subs available so that getting time off is not a stressful thing. We are willing to have both part-day and full-day hours for the right person to join our team.
- After 90 days – full time staff get paid for ALL the vacation time the kids are out of school – that’s like 5 weeks a year when added up!
- Full time staff get a $200 a month stipend to help cover medical insurance and costs.
- Staff also receive 2% above their income for a retirement plan with an option to contribute more.
- You don’t need to be skilled at roller skating or laser tag or bowling or escaping a room, but you will likely be doing some of those things. Every few months we do something fun or goofy or both as a class or staff team.
Job Requirements:
- You need to be the type person who enjoys being with kids. Every day, you will be hanging with the coolest kids around and they love to learn!
- You will have to fill out a bunch of the paperwork: Criminal background check, medical report, TB test- all the typical stuff that licensed childcare and school staff have to do.
- You need to be a person who loves to create remarkable experiences for kids and keep parents in the loop. You need to be someone who feels good by making other people feel good about what their children are doing.
- You need to want to be in a Christian environment and thoughtful that your words and actions let others know that you value a Biblical worldview.
In short, your job is to serve kids and families, and to have fun doing it. (Who wants a job that isn’t fun?!?). Our school is laid back, but we do expect professionalism and punctuality.
We don’t expect to find a Montessori trained teacher in Burlington – so apply if you are ready to find out more! We do expect intelligence, energy, and a get it done attitude. We are prepared to spend up to 1 year heavily training the right person for our school before you open your class.

Montessori Elementary Hands-On Math Lover
as well as a Highly Motivated Middle School Advisor and Guide
Here’s what the ideal candidate looks like:
You understand people in a special way. You love to help them figure out how to be the best versions of themselves, and you have lots of grace to share as they move on that journey.
When you work with kids, it’s no different. You see children not as miniature people but at a vital stage of life where they are forming who they will become. This is an important stage, and you want to help them navigate that academically, socially, spiritually, and emotionally. You also want to learn right alongside them.
You know God has a plan and purpose for you and all those around you, and you want to be part of that fantastic plan. You also want to continue to grow in your own walk with God and make Him a priority.
You want to work in and contribute to a well-functioning team. You like collaboration because what we create together is always better. You can lead and follow. You are observant – you “see a need and fill a need.” You have a quick smile and easy laugh and want to do life with others you can trust. You know how to have fun and include others.
You are a self-starter. When you know you are the right track, you put your heart, mind and soul into making it the best it can be. You want to make a difference in the world and you know helping children is the way you can do it.
Being Montessori trained it a HUGE advantage, but it you are not, you need to be the kind of teacher who prioritizes children over curriculum, always looking for the best way to help each child reach their full potential.
You love hands-on math and helping children have “ah-ha” moments with process learning. You love to figure things out and to do extensions based on the needs of children.
If this describes you, we need you here! Please fill out this form, and we will connect with you asap. You can also find out more about our school and what it’s like to work with us here.
