We have a wonderful Montessori program that we would love to share with you. Our enrollment process allows everyone to make sure that this school would be the best fit for your child.
Step 1) Visit the school during a tour or one of our Open House sessions. To schedule a tour please call the school at 336.228.0908 or email the Head of School. It is best when both the mother and father can come to the school to visit. We love for all family members to feel comfortable here and to know about the benefits of Montessori education.
Step 2) After visiting, if you feel like this school is a good fit for your child, we set up a time for the child to meet with the teacher for an assessment. The assessment is designed to see if this is this best time for your child to join the school. Many factors contribute to this including child readiness, needs of other students, teacher dynamics, etc. It is a tool to get to know the child and to make sure we have the correct environment ready to establish a successful and pleasant transition for everyone. There is the possibility that for various reasons it does not feel like a good fit at the time. We want to actively continue in dialog with families to set up times to visit again later as children develop and as dynamics in the classroom change. We want to be here for the overall development of your child not just at this moment, but for their continued growth.
Step 3) Fill out an application and turn in the registration form. Even if your child will be on a wait list, getting this material in as soon as possible will help secure a spot. Applications are given by the Head of School once assessments are completed and everyone feels it is a good fit for the child, family, and school.
Step 4) Sign up for the FACTS tuition management program. This allows all payments to be made automatically. Most people find this very helpful and appreciate not having to remember to send in a payment every month.
Step 5) Make plans for easy transition. For most children, a shorter day at the school for the first day or two is very helpful. They enjoy the school and want to leave with a good feeling. If the day feels too long to them, especially with the excitement of starting a new school, they may begin to tire and want their family members.
Step 6) Enjoy the benefits that Montessori education brings to your child and your family. We have many opportunities for parents to learn more about how to incorporate Montessori education into their home. We also love for parents to share talents and hobbies and to give lessons to the students throughout the year. This is a place for everyone to grow, so know that you are always welcome.
Thanks for being a part of Providence: A Christian Montessori Community!
