Our Montessori school strives to serve the whole child as part of the whole family. Guided by the work of Maria Montessori, we create an environment where children and families are inspired to realize their creative, personal and social potential.
The Whole Child. Each Child is valued and nurtured as a whole being: Mind, Body and Spirit. Children are allowed to develop in a safe, supportive, culturally-diverse environment that gives them the freedom to explore, cooperate, create, and become.
The Whole Family. Each family member is respected as part of the learning environment. Parents, siblings and extended family are included in the process of learning about Montessori education and sharing talents and abilities of their own.
Montessori at Providence. We are committed to bringing families and children together for a truly integrated learning approach. Our parents are welcomed and encouraged to come and share their wealth of knowledge to the community in their special fields of interest. Parent volunteer time is a big part of the school and allows for families to be more connected in our hectic world.
Our school supports Christian values through Bible stories, sharing Christian music and activities, and celebration of Christian Holidays.
We are committed to educating our community on the benefits of Montessori education and look for opportunities to share this information. We have spoken at Elon University, Cummings High School, Rotary and other venues to share this vision.
We are committed to seeing options in education for Alamance County. With the need for choices in our community, we will continue to grow as is economically feasible in order to best serve the community.
